TSTC Internships—
No better way to guarantee your workforce has top-notch skills

Internship or Co-operative?
Benefits of Internships and Co-ops
What you need to know

Internships can be paid or unpaid and are usually conducted while the student is still attending regular classes. Internships allow students to observe and apply the skills they have learned in a real-world working environment.

Co-operatives are paid and usually require the students to take a semester off from classes to complete the co-op. A co-op is much more focused and intensive, concentrating on applying skills along with on-the-job training.

Internships and co-ops give you the opportunity to:

  • Evaluate a student’s skills and assess their potential.
  • Choose candidates with little or no risk.
  • Save money and time.
  • Guarantee your workforce.

Each TSTC campus handles internships and co-ops differently. Please clarify expectations when you talk with us.

To discuss potential opportunities, please contact you local TSTC Career Services Director.
